Alexander Volkanovski for FanDuel
Jack's great on the ground, but we don't want it to go to the ground. Jack is going to understand: I ain't even letting you get this to the floor. I'm going to try and beat you on the feet, I'm going to keep you away, I'm going to have nice strong hips, I'm going to be very stubborn on the feet, stubborn on the wrestling. If it goes down, stubborn to build myself back up, and he's a great grappler so he can definitely do that. But, Jack needs to keep it on the feet.
Maddalena last fought Belal Muhammad in May of this year at UFC 315. He won that bout by unanimous decision and captured the UFC welterweight championship. His record stands at 18 wins and two losses.
Makhachev last competed against Renato Moicano in January of this year at UFC 311. He won that fight via submission in the first round and defended his UFC lightweight title. After that, the Russian announced his move to the welterweight division. His record stands at 27 wins and one loss.
