Russian UFC fighter Andrey Pulyaev, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, shared his thoughts on the winner between Alexander Volkov and Jailton Almeida.

Volkov won 100%, you just can’t win by laying on top of somebody nowadays, even Dana White said that. Looking at the fight, Alexander dealt more damage. Volkov’s progress in grappling is visible, they spent a lot of time on that. But it’s better to spend time on freestyle wrestling and Muay Thai. Almeida’s power takedowns – you either have to prevent him from grabbing one or both legs or counter immediately
The fight took place at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. The Russian heavyweight won by split decision and stepped into the title contention. Volkov has 39 wins and 11 losses. Almeida has won 22 out of 26 professional fights.
