Two-division ONE champion Anatoly Malykhin exclusively for Telecomasia.net commented on the fact that there are no Americans in the UFC P4P top 10, while five fighters come from the Caucasus.
I don’t care what’s going on with the Americans – whether they’re worried, or going through slumps. I’m just happy for our guys, whether they are Caucasian or Slavic. I’m glad the boys are succeeding at the highest level, earning for their families, and fulfilling themselves.
"Are American MMA fighters in decline? They were just competing without us. But when our guys come in, everyone is in trouble. If our top fighters from all the leagues, including ACA, come to the UFC, their top 5 or top 10 would be all Russian. There wouldn’t be any Brazilians, no Americans, nobody. We have the strongest schools in many kinds of sport,” Malykhin said.
The updated UFC P4P top 5 includes Ilia Topuria, Islam Makhachev, Merab Dvalishvili, Khamzat Chimaev, and Aleksandar Rakić. Magomed Ankalaev is seventh, and there are no U.S. fighters in the top 10.
