UFC executive director Dana White responded to an interview with the heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, in which he said he would rather give up the title than accept a fight against his friend and teammate Ante Delija.
Dana White, quoted by TNT Fight Sports
You know what I think about that, before you even ask me. I hate that, you know. Many friends, relatives, name it, have all fought each other before. Recall that on October 25 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), at UFC 321, Tom Aspinall will defend his title against Ciryl Gane.
Aspinall's last fight was against Curtis Blaydes in July 2024 at UFC 304. In that bout, Tom won by knockout in the first round. His record stands at 15 wins and three losses.
Gane last entered the octagon in December 2024 at UFC 310, defeating Alexander Volkov by split decision. He holds 13 wins and two losses.
