Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker said he hopes to share the octagon with American Sean Strickland in February 2026 at a UFC event in Sydney.

I wanna fight in Sydney next Feb. I’d love to fight Strickland. I’ve been wanting that fight for a while. I think it’d be a good fight. He always brings people to cards. I don’t think he’ll come all the way here to Australia, but let’s see what happens.
Whittaker last fought in July 2025 at UFC on ABC 9, losing a split decision to Reinier de Ridder. His record is 26 wins and nine losses.
Strickland last fought in February 2025 at UFC 312, losing a unanimous decision to Dricus du Plessis. His record is 29 wins and seven losses.
