Italian cyclist Kevin Bonaldo of team SC Padovani Polo Cherry Bank died at age 25, the team’s press service reported. During the Piccola San Remo race, his heart stopped, according to media reports.
On September 21, following the race in Sovizzo, Italy, the athlete was hospitalized in critical condition and placed in an induced coma. He remained in the hospital for a month. Despite some signs of improvement in the following weeks, his condition worsened in the final hours before his death.
