American Ledecky Breaks Own World Record in 800 Meter Swim

American swimmer Katie Ledecky has set a new world record in the 800-meter swim during the Pro Swim Series tournament in Fort Lauderdale, USA.

Ledecky completed the distance in 8:04.12, surpassing her previous record of 8:04.79 set at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. At just 28 years old, Ledecky has claimed gold in the Olympics nine times and has won at the World Championships 21 times.
