French biathlete Julia Simon has been suspended for one month by the French Ski Federation due to credit card fraud.
Previously, the court in Albertville sentenced Simon to three months of suspended imprisonment and a €15,000 fine.
The athlete admitted to using the credit cards of her teammate Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and a member of the medical staff for online purchases, causing approximately €2,300 in damages.
It should be noted that in October 2023, Simon was also detained as part of a criminal investigation involving charges of fraud, theft, and breach of trust. She was released after questioning.
