Father of Deceased Biathlete Dahlmeier Wants to Make Pilgrimage to Laila Peak

The father of biathlete Laura Dahlmeier, who died in the summer of 2025 during a mountain climb in Pakistan, plans to visit the place where his daughter died. This was reported by the publication Der Spiegel.

Andreas Dahlmeier is going to travel to Pakistan to Laila Peak, which has an elevation of 6096 meters. His goal is to see the place where his daughter perished and to say goodbye to her. He plans to climb up to the section of the mountain where his daughter's body is presumably located.

The well-known extreme rock climber Thomas Huber placed a small memorial plaque at the site of her death in honor of the athlete.

It was previously said that a park will be named after the deceased athlete in Dahlmeier's German hometown.
