French Biathlete Richard Caught Tampering with a Teammate’s Rifle

French biathlete Jeanne Richard was caught attempting to alter the settings of teammate Oceane Michelon’s rifle near the end of the 2024-25 season, according to the outlet Dicodusport.

The incident reportedly occurred ahead of one of the races late last season. Sources indicate the conflict was resolved internally within the team.

At the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, Jeanne Richard finished sixth in the overall World Cup standings with 755 points.

First place went to German athlete Franziska Preuss (1,278 points), second to French athlete Lou Jeanmonnot (1,258 points), and third to Julia Simon (902 points).
