The German Ski Association (DSV) has established an award named after biathlete Laura Dahlmeier, DPA reports. The prize will be awarded to the best young German skiers.

It's open to all disciplines, not just biathlon.
He also noted that the organization had discussed the initiative with her parents in advance and are very grateful for their support.
It was previously reported that a park in Dahlmeier's hometown of Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be named after the deceased athlete.
