Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen has announced that he will soon become a father for the first time. He shared a photo on social media showing his wife, Ella Victoria Malone, with a noticeably rounded belly.
"My beautiful pregnant wife," Carlsen captioned the photo.
Magnus and Ella Victoria got married in early January, and news about their relationship surfaced in February 2024. His wife prefers to stay away from social media and rarely speaks to the press.
Remember that Carlsen was fined $200 in December for a dress code violation at the World Chess Championship; he wore jeans and refused to change, leading to his removal. Afterward, he announced he would boycott tournaments under FIDE's organization and ceased cooperation with them.
