The cost of hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris reached €2.8 billion. This was reported by L’Equipe, citing an analysis commissioned by the French government's Directorate General for Strategic Planning.
The commission conducted a study on the economic, social, and environmental benefits derived from organizing the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Experts estimate the value of legacy in the form of built infrastructure at nearly €3 billion.
The report also stated that the impact of new jobs created by the event brought approximately €200 million to local authorities. The Olympic Games took place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
