Russian Figure Skater Valieva Disqualified For Four Years For Doping By CAS Decision

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva has been disqualified for four years for doping by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

During the 2022 Beijing Olympics, it was revealed that the Russian figure skater had tested positive for a banned drug.

Thus, Valieva will be stripped of her Olympic gold medal for winning the team event as part of the Russian national team. It should be noted that the decision on other Russian figure skaters will be made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Earlier, Valieva confessed that she wants the CAS decision to be announced as soon as possible. The IOC representatives are also interested in the early closure of the case.
