23-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, American tennis player Serena Williams, has refuted rumors of her return to professional sports following her reappearance in the ITIA doping testing pool.

The Athletic website recently reported that the 44-year-old American tennis player had re-entered the anti-doping testing pool of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
Following this, journalist Ben Rothenberg stated that Serena Williams had originally planned to return as early as the US Open 2025 to compete in the doubles event alongside her older sister Venus.
Serena Williams ended her professional career in 2022. She is currently focused on business and raising her two daughters.
Earlier, Serena Williams shared advice with young female tennis players who have limited financial resources.
