45-Year-Old Venus Williams to Play US Open 2025

American tennis player and former world No. 1 Venus Williams has received a wild card to enter the US Open main draw, the tournament’s official website announced.

The 45-year-old last played at this event in 2023, when she was eliminated in the first round.

Venus is a two-time US Open singles champion, a five-time Wimbledon singles champion, and has won 14 Grand Slam titles in doubles. At the Olympic Games she has won four gold medals — one in singles and three in doubles.

The main draw matches at the US Open will be held from August 24 through September 7.
