Alcaraz Becomes Fifth Player in History to Beat Djokovic on All Surfaces

Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz defeated Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the 2025 US Open.

The 22-year-old won in straight sets: 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.

With this win, Alcaraz becomes just the fifth player in tennis history to beat Novak Djokovic on all types of surfaces. The other four are Switzerland’s Roger Federer, Spain’s Rafael Nadal, Great Britain’s Andy Murray, and Italy’s Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz will face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the final of the season’s last Grand Slam tournament.

Earlier, Novak Djokovic admitted he is no longer able to compete with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz at Grand Slam level.
