Alcaraz Becomes Youngest Tennis Player Since Djokovic to Reach 70 Wins in a Season

Carlos Alcaraz matched the achievement of Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, by defeating Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-1 in the group stage of the ATP Finals and securing his 70th win of the season.

At the age of 22 years and 188 days, he became the youngest player to reach this milestone since 2009. The previous record belonged to Djokovic, who was 22 years and 164 days old when he achieved it.

Of Alcaraz’s total wins, 16 came against opponents ranked in the top 10 of the ATP rankings. The Spanish tennis player is a six-time Grand Slam champion and has won 24 singles titles in total.
