Alcaraz to Miss Davis Cup Final 8 Due to Injury

According to information provided by COPE journalist Jose Morgado, Carlos Alcaraz, who leads the world tennis ranking, will miss the final stage of the Davis Cup due to muscle edema.

The source reports that the injury turned out to be more serious than initially expected. The Spanish tennis player has been diagnosed with muscle edema, and medical personnel are concerned about a possible muscle tear.

It was previously announced that Jannik Sinner, who is second in the world ranking, was not included in the Italian squad for the upcoming tournament.

In addition to the Spanish team, the Final 8 will feature the national teams of France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Argentina, and Germany. The competition will take place from November 18 to 23 in Bologna, Italy. The reigning Davis Cup champions are the Italian national team, who have won the last two tournaments.
