Australian Open Champion Sabalenka Says Ukrainian Coach Made Her Cry

World number two Aryna Sabalenka talked about the incident with a coach of a Ukrainian tennis player. The Belarusian athlete says she couldn't hold back her tears in this situation.

Aryna Sabalenka, quoted by L'Équipe
Once the coach of the Ukrainian tennis player said to me with a laugh: "I'm glad you lost". I cried like a baby, unable to speak. He followed me and shouted that I was throwing the bombs. I felt guilty about something I didn't do.

Earlier, Ukrainian tennis player Lesia Tsurenko said that her coach had a conflict with Sabalenka.

Sabalenka is the winner of the Australian Open 2023, the finalist of the WTA Finals 2022. Earlier, the 25-year-old Belarusian said she does not support the invasion to Ukraine or Belarus president Aleksandr Lukashenko.
