Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion and current world number six, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, shared his thoughts on who he considers the favorite for the Wimbledon tournament after losing to Italian Jannik Sinner (world number one) in the semi-finals with a score of 3-6, 3-6, 4-6.
I think I will give a slight edge to Carlos as a favourite because of the two titles he's won here and the way he's playing and the confidence he has right now. But it's just a slight advantage 'cause Jannik is hitting the ball extremely well.
In the final match of Wimbledon, Jannik Sinner will compete against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (world number two), who earlier defeated American Taylor Fritz (world number five) in the parallel semi-final.
The Wimbledon 2025 final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz is set to take place on Sunday, July 13.
For reference, the grass court Grand Slam tournament runs from June 30 to July 13. The current champion is none other than the 22-year-old Spaniard.
Earlier, Novak Djokovic stated that he plans to compete at Wimbledon at least one more time.
