Djokovic Plans to Participate in Davis Cup 2023 as a Member of Serbian Team

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, the world's number two ATP ranked player, said that he will take part in the upcoming Davis Cup in 2023 as a member of his country's national team.

The 36-year-old tennis player did not participate in the 2022 tournament.

Novak Djokovic, quoted by Tennis-Infinity
Yes, I will play this year and I'm looking forward to it. Last year I was really hoping to join the guys in the final tournament, but unfortunately they didn't make it out of the group. I hope to be healthy by the start of the tournament.

It should be noted that the team led by Viktor Troicki from September 12 to 17 in the group stage of the Davis Cup will hold matches against Spain, Czech Republic and South Korea. The games will be held in Valencia.

On July 16, the winner of 95 ATP tournaments will play in the final of the Wimbledon tournament in 2023, where his rival is the world's No. 1 Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. In the semifinals, Djokovic defeated Italy's Jannick Sinner 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
