Djokovic Sets Unique Open Era Record for Men and Women

World No. 7 Novak Djokovic of Serbia faced American Learner Tien (48th in the ATP rankings) in the first round of the 2025 US Open.

The match ended in a comfortable win for the Serbian, 6–1, 7–6 (7–3), 6–2, marking his 75th consecutive victory in opening matches at Grand Slam tournaments.

According to Opta Sport, Novak Djokovic is the first singles player in the main draw in the Open Era to reach this milestone.

Djokovic will meet American Zachary Svajda in the second round. The match is scheduled for August 27, starting at approximately 18:00 GMT+3.

Earlier, the well-known French brand Lacoste changed its logo in honor of Novak Djokovic ahead of the start of the 2025 US Open.
