The tennis‑connected French brand Lacoste has changed its logo for a limited collection honoring 2024 Olympic champion and world No. 7 Novak Djokovic.
The brand’s familiar green crocodile on the clothing line has been replaced with a green goat, a play on the English word “goat.” In sports, GOAT stands for “Greatest Of All Time” and is used as an honorary title for the most successful athletes.
Djokovic, 38, won gold at the Paris Games and bronze at Beijing 2008. He also holds the men’s record with 24 Grand Slam singles titles and has spent a record 428 weeks as world No. 1.
On August 1, French sports outlet L’Equipe reported that Djokovic could become a potential investor in Le Mans FC, a Ligue 2 club. Earlier, on July 12, in an interview with the ATP press office, Djokovic said he intends to play Wimbledon at least one more time.
