Former British tennis player Andy Murray spoke in detail about his collaboration with Serbian Novak Djokovic.
Murray joined Djokovic’s coaching team at the end of 2024. On May 13, Djokovic announced that their collaboration had ended.
Andy Murray for The Times
I enjoyed it at the beginning, but obviously the results were not what I expected, and I am sure they were not what Djokovic expected either. Still, I am glad I did it. It was a unique opportunity, and if I had not done it, I would have regretted it.
Andy Murray is a former world No. 1, a two-time Olympic champion and a three-time Grand Slam winner.
Earlier Djokovic admitted he no longer feels capable of competing with Italy’s Jannik Sinner and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz at Grand Slam tournaments.
