Novak Djokovic Becomes First to Reach Quarterfinals at All Slams in Nine Seasons

World No. 7 Novak Djokovic set a unique record after defeating Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff (ranked 144) in the fourth round of the 2025 US Open, 6–3, 6–3, 6–2.

According to Opta Sport, the 38-year-old Serbian is the first tennis player in history to reach the quarterfinals of each Grand Slam in nine different seasons.

The win over Struff was Djokovic’s 64th career victory that led to a Grand Slam quarterfinal. It also marked his 14th appearance in the US Open quarterfinals.

Next, Djokovic will face world No. 4 Taylor Fritz.

The 2025 US Open men’s singles main draw runs from August 24 to September 7. The tournament’s total prize money is $90 million.
