Fourth-ranked Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, holder of 24 Grand Slam titles, confirmed his participation in the Masters category tournament to be held in Shanghai, China, from October 1 to 12.
The tournament’s press office announced this on social media. Last year, Djokovic reached the final in Shanghai but lost to Italian top-ranked player Jannik Sinner with a score of 6-7, 3-6.
Djokovic holds the record for the most victories at the Shanghai Masters, which has been held since 2009. However, the tournament was canceled from 2020 to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
