Polish Businessman Steals Cap From Child At US Open, Refuses To Apologize

An incident occurred at the US Open after Kamil Majchrzak’s match against Karen Khachanov. Majchrzak gave his cap to a young fan, but a man nearby grabbed it and put it in his bag.

The man was later identified as Polish businessman Piotr Szczerek, a sponsor of the Polish Tennis Federation.

The businessman told ParisMatch, also threatening lawsuits over insults directed at him:

Yes, I took it. Yes, I did it quickly. But as I've always said, life is first come, first served… If you were faster, you would have it.

After learning what happened, Majchrzak asked for the child to be found and promised to give him the cap and other gifts.
