Racket From Murray’s 2013 Wimbledon Win Sold At Auction For $73,200

A tennis racket owned by Andy Murray, former world No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion, was sold at auction for $73,200, ESPN reports.

Murray used this racket in several matches during Wimbledon 2013, culminating in the final where he defeated Serbian star Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4. This victory ended a 76-year drought for British players at Wimbledon.

The most expensive tennis racket ever sold remains the Babolat used by Rafael Nadal in his victorious 2017 French Open final, which was purchased in June this year for $157,000.
