The 22-year-old Russian tennis player has won one tournament this season - the 2023 Upper Austria Ladies Linz played on indoor hard courts, Austria. She reached the semifinals twice more, in Birmingham and Stuttgart. Anastasia's best achievement at Grand Slam tournaments was reaching the third round at Wimbledon and Roland Garros.
In September 2023, Potapova announced her engagement to Russian tennis player Alexander Shevchenko.
