World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus participated in a game called “Stay Quiet Until You Hear a Player Stronger Than You” on the Telegram channel First&Red.
The 27-year-old athlete stated she believes the strongest tennis player of all time is 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams of the United States.
During the game, Sabalenka also heard the names Maria Sharapova, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Jasmine Paolini, Amanda Anisimova, and Iga Swiatek.
In response, the Belarusian emphasized that none of her rivals is weak.
Sabalenka noted that each of the aforementioned players excels in certain aspects, making it impossible to offend anyone by comparison. She also added that she finds the trend itself somewhat strange.
Currently, the Belarusian is competing at the WTA Finals, where she defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-3, 6-1 in her opening round-robin match.
Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka received the trophy recognizing her as the year-end World No. 1 for the 2025 season.
