Sinner Ends Alcaraz’s 18-Match Grass Winning Streak in Wimbledon Final

In the Wimbledon final, Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, a five-time Grand Slam champion, faced a tough defeat that halted his 18-match winning streak on grass, which had been ongoing since June 2024.

In the 2025 Wimbledon final, Alcaraz lost to top-ranked Italian player Jannik Sinner (1) with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, 4-6. Prior to facing Sinner, Alcaraz's winning streak on ATP Tour grass courts included 18 consecutive wins.

Before this final defeat, Alcaraz’s only loss on grass was in the second round of the ATP 500 tournament in London against British player Jack Draper (6-7 (3-7), 3-6).

Alcaraz was the Wimbledon champion for two consecutive years, in 2023 and 2024.
