Sinner Reacts to Alcaraz Becoming World No. 1 at Season’s End

Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, ranked second in the ATP world rankings, commented on Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz becoming the year-end World No. 1.

Jannik Sinner
I’m happy, of course, for him – super happy. I’d be lying if I said otherwise, honestly. He deserves it because he played an incredible season: 2 Grand Slams, 8 tournaments, it’s an incredible amount, and he is playing at a very high level, competitive on any surface.

It was previously confirmed that Carlos Alcaraz secured the year-end World No. 1 ranking for the 2025 season.

In 2025, the Spaniard won titles at Roland Garros and the US Open, as well as six additional ATP tournaments.

The official ceremony presenting the award for year-end World No. 1 took place at the 2025 ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.
