Zimbabwe women overcame Thailand in the third unofficial ODI to clinch two-one lead in the series. Thailand batted first and compiled a total of 189 for 7 but the Zimbabwe women achieved the target with five wickets in hand and with 39 balls still remaining making it an easy affair in the end.

Thailand Women lost control of the game early on as they lost five wickets at the score of only 12. However, Sornarin Toppich and captain Naruemol Chaiwai put up a partnership of 72 runs before Phiri claimed Toppich’s wicket who fell for 27 as Thailand reached 84 for 6. Thailand lost another wicket just after a partnership of 18 runs. However, the eighth wicket partnership of 87 ensured Thailand reached 189 as Naruemol finished with a hundred. After losing Ashley Ndiraya for nil the Zimbabwe batters didn’t have a world of trouble as Modester Mupachikwa and Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano completed their half centuries and put on a 106 runs partnership for the second wicket. From there on, the task didn’t appear to be much and the Zimbabwe batters took care of the business as Mary Anne-Musonda made a blistering 46-ball 47 runs.
