Qatar, on the other hand, also suffered the same fate as that of their opponents in this impending encounter, as they could only manage a point in a 1-1 draw against the United Arab Emirates in the first round. The visitors have struggled for consistency and come into this clash with just two wins from their last seven competitive matches (D2, L3).

This is sure to be a banger, and I'm expecting goals at both ends of the pitch. Six of their last seven encounters have seen both teams get on the scoreboard, and I'm expecting a similar trend in this one, but I'm not ruling out a narrow win for the visitors.

United Arab Emirates vs. Kuwait

The United Arab Emirates can have no complaints about their result against Qatar in the first round, where they salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw at home. From what I've seen in the last five meetings between these two sides in the Arabian Gulf Cup, all encounters were very tight. However, have faith in the United Arab Emirates coming out on top, as they have won two of those matches and are at the moment the better side.

El Gaish vs. Zamalek

El Gaish, who finished in tenth place in the previous season, has made a promising start to the current Egyptian Premier League season. Zamalek is also one of the teams that has made a promising start this season and is a strong contender for the league title. I have no doubt that Zamalek are favorites to come out on top in this clash. However, the home team can make life difficult for them, and let's not forget this is the same side that won 3-1 on the road in the previous season, and they can't be written off from causing an upset. This is why I like both sides getting on the scoreboard, as this has been the case in their last three matches.
