Heading over to South America and Europe in Saturday's Accumulator: Accumulator Tips for July 19

This Saturday we have some entertaining games taking place from South America to Europe. In the UEFA Women's Euro, France W and Germany W lock horns in the quarter-finals. The Czech First League sees Sparta Prague aiming to redeem themselves after a poor display in the previous season. Lastly, Mirassol are out to maintain their unbeaten run in the Serie A Betano when they lock horns with Santos. 

Jablonec vs. Sparta Prague

Jablonec finished in fifth place in the 2024-25 Czech First League season. It was a great run from the team that had concluded the previous season in the relegation rounds. Their form in the preseason was a mixed bag, winning three and losing three.

Sparta Prague, on the other hand, was far from their usual self in the previous season. They relinquished their league title to Slavia Prague as they finished in fourth place and lost the MOL Cup final against Sigma Olomouc. In preparation for the new season, they played three pre-season games and won all of them.

Sparta Prague was impressive in the preseason games compared to Jablonec. This is their chance to start the new season on a positive note. They have won five of their last six matches and I am backing them to secure a win.

France W was absolutely dominant in their group. They topped Group D with a 100% record. In the opening match, they beat reigning champions England 2-1 and followed with wins over Wales (4-1) and the Netherlands (5-2).

Germany W finished as runners-up in Group C, with Sweden, taking the top spot. In their last group stage game, they suffered a 4-1 defeat against Sweden, ending their two-match winning streak.

Germany W may have lost their last group stage game against Sweden W. However, that doesn't mean they should be underestimated. This could turn out to be a tense affair between these two high-profile nations. Their last three meetings have seen over 2.5 goals, and that's what I'm expecting to see again.

Mirassol vs. Santos

Mirassol are in 11th place in the Serie A Betano standings. They are four points behind the top six. Coming into this match, they are riding high on confidence, having avoided defeat in five matches. In their most recent league game, they held Palmerias to a 1-1 draw.

Santos, on the other hand, are in 13th place and are two points ahead of the relegation zone. They are currently riding a two-match winning streak, including a 1-0 home victory against Flamengo. 

Meetings between Mirassol and Santos have been entertaining. It's always a goal-laden affair when they cross paths with ten of their last 12 meetings producing over 2.5 goals. I don't want to complicate things by choosing a full-time winner in this one. This is why I am backing over 2.5 goals.
