In La Liga, Real Oviedo will face their biggest test so far since returning to the league when they welcome Barcelona to their home ground. All these are well analysed below with accumulated odds.

Aston Villa vs Bologna

Aston Villa and Bologna will open their European competition accounts on Thursday. The hosts have been performing below par since the start of the season, having remained without a win since the beginning of the season. They have played three draws and lost twice this season and managed to score their first goal in their last game against Sunderland, in a match that ended in a one-all draw. On the other hand, Bologna have not been particularly exceptional on the road this season, losing both games played away. They lost 1-0 to Roma and the same scoreline to AC Milan.

Regardless, I think the hosts will win or at least draw this game, given the visitors' poor run of form so far this season.

Barca enter this game after a 3-0 win over Getafe in their last match, with Ferran Torres firing in a brace. They remain unbeaten this season with four wins and a draw in the five games played so far. They will be without Lamine Yamal, Gabi, Marc-André ter Stegen and Pau Cubarsi in this game due to injuries, but I don’t think that will affect their performance. Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 14 away league games, and playing against a side that have not been in the top league for years shouldn’t pose any threat. Moreover, Oviedo lost four of their last 5 matches this season. It is an easy win for Barca for me.
