Europa League action continues on Thursday, but that won’t stop league and domestic actions, too. Aston Villa and Bologna will lock horns in their first Europa League action of the season, while Young Boys and Panathinaikos will battle under the same conditions. In La Liga, Real Oviedo will face their biggest test so far since returning to the league when they welcome Barcelona to their home ground. All these are well analysed below with accumulated odds.

Aston Villa and Bologna will open their European competition accounts on Thursday. The hosts have been performing below par since the start of the season, having remained without a win since the beginning of the season. They have played three draws and lost twice this season and managed to score their first goal in their last game against Sunderland, in a match that ended in a one-all draw. On the other hand, Bologna have not been particularly exceptional on the road this season, losing both games played away. They lost 1-0 to Roma and the same scoreline to AC Milan.

Nevertheless, one thing is common to both sides, which is their poor runs in front of the goal. Villa have managed to score just two goals in all competitions this season, and four of these five games saw fewer than three goals. Bologna have also struggled in front of goal, with three of their last four games ending in a 1-0 scoreline. With this, I think the best option is to place a bet on a low-scoring outcome in this game.

Possible Lineups

Aston Villa predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Emiliano Martinez (GK), Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings, Lucas Digne, John McGinn, Harvey Elliott, Jadon Sancho, Morgan Rogers, Emiliano Buendia, Ollie Watkins.

Bologna predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Skorupski (GK), Nadir Zortea, Torbjørn Heggem, Jhon Lucumí, Charalampos Lykogiannis, Remo Freuler, Lewis Ferguson, Riccardo Orsolini, Giovanni Fabbian, Nicolò Cambiaghi, Santiago Castro.

  • Bet on: Under 2.5 goals

Young Boys will start their European journey with full confidence in front of their home fans against their Greek visitors. The hosts have been exceptional this season, losing just once in their league games. On the other hand, Panathinaikos have been struggling and have remained winless since the start of the season. On the continental stage, they have managed just one win in their last eight games on the road.

Young Boys will be without Alvyn Sanches and Facinet Conte in this game due to injuries, while Panathinaikos will be without former Manchester United player, Facundo Pellistri. Regardless, I think the hosts will win or at least draw this game, given the visitors' poor run of form so far this season.

Possible Lineups

Young Boys predicted lineup (4-4-2): Marvin Keller (GK), Saidy Janko, Tanguy Banhie Zoukrou, Loris Benito, Jaouen Hadjam, Darian Males, Edimilson Fernandes, Armin Gigovic, Joel Monteiro, Chris Bedia, Christian Fassnacht.

Panathinaikos predicted lineup (4-3-3): Bartłomiej Drągowski (GK), Giannis Kotsiras, Erik Palmer-Brown, Ahmed Touba, Georgios Kyriakopoulos, Anastasios Bakasetas, Pedro Chirivella, Adam Gnezda Cerin, Daniel Mancini, Karol Swiderski, Tetê.

  • Bet on: 1X

Barcelona have been impressive since the start of the season, and they will hope to continue that form against the newly promoted side, Real Oviedo, at Carlos Tartiere Stadium. Barca enter this game after a 3-0 win over Getafe in their last match, with Ferran Torres firing in a brace. They remain unbeaten this season with four wins and a draw in the five games played so far. They will be without Lamine Yamal, Gabi, Marc-André ter Stegen and Pau Cubarsi in this game due to injuries, but I don’t think that will affect their performance. Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 14 away league games, and playing against a side that have not been in the top league for years shouldn’t pose any threat. Moreover, Oviedo lost four of their last 5 matches this season. It is an easy win for Barca for me.

Possible Lineups

Real Oviedo predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Aaron Escandell (GK), Lucas Ahijado, Dani Calvo, David Carmo, Rahim Alhassane, Kwasi Sibo, Leander Dendoncker, Haissem Hassan, Alberto Reina, Ilyas Chaira, Jose Salomon Rondon.

Barcelona predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Joan Garcia (GK), Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martin, Marc Casado, Pedri, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Marcus Rashford, Ferran Torres.
