They even managed to bring Jose Mourinho, but we cannot say that they have been successful. Their only trophy in recent years was the 2022/23 Turkish Cup. In Europe, Fener had some success, but far from what we expected from them. The last time they made it to the Champions League main phase (group phase) was back in 2008/09 when they finished the competition as the last-placed team in the group. In this season's qualifiers, Fenerbahce eliminated Feyenoord in the previous round but failed to make a difference in the first leg vs a ten-man Benfica. Considering they are a team that heavily relies on their home pitch, we are not really optimistic about their chances in the second leg. Even though both teams had a scoreless draw in their 1st-leg matchup, I expect both teams to display an attacking play, while I expect more than two goals to be recorded.
