Oakland Athletics vs San Francisco Giants Prediction: Giants break their losing streak

San Francisco lost all four games of their home series to the Los Angeles Dodgers and will now travel to Oakland. Will the Giants be able to rehabilitate their series with the Athletics? Here are a few bets on the first game at once.

Oakland Athletics

The Athletics are still the last team in the American League. However, the team hasn't been playing like a record outsider lately. On the stretch of their previous 15 games, Oakland had ten wins. Only Toronto is better in the conference in that period.

The Athletics had a road trip ahead of their home games against San Francisco. First, Oakland lost to the Chicago White Sox (7-3, 2-3,  1-4) and then beat the Los Angeles Angels (1-3, 3-1, 8-7).

Oakland's starting pitcher for game one against San Francisco is Adam Oller, 1-4, with a 7.68 ERA in 12 games this season.

San Francisco Giants

After losing four straight at home to the Los Angeles Dodgers (2-8, 5-9, 0-3, 3-5), Gabe Kepler's team dropped below. San Francisco has 51-55 and is already 6.5 wins behind the National League wild-card zone.

One of the main reasons for the Giants' recent setbacks is an abundance of injuries. In particular, Thairo Estrada, Evan Longoria, and  Joc Pederson won't participate in the first game against Oakland. Joey Bart's participation in the game is also questionable.

Starting on the pitching hill for San Francisco in the upcoming game will be Carlos Rodon, 9-6 and a 3.00 ERA in his 21st game this season.

Expert Betting Tips

For San Francisco, the series in Oakland is almost the last chance to get back into the wild-card race. In addition to the Giants, there is one vacant spot, which is likely to be claimed by Philadelphia and one of the Milwaukee-St. Louis pairings. If, after the series with the Athletics, the handicap increases, the Giants can forget about the playoffs. The motivation should help San Francisco win.
