However, the last series they played against the Los Angeles Angels also ended in a defeat, as they lost the previous two matches despite an 11-0 win in the opener. Heading into this game, the Seattle Mariners have failed to win any of their last three consecutive series with the last one being against the Houston Astros. 

Los Angeles Angels

The Los Angeles Angels head into this finale as heavy underdogs, but they will be optimistic to keep things running. In the opener, this team secured a 1-3 win and also secured a 1-5 win in game 2. However, they did not show character in the prior series to this, as they lost to the Oakland Athletics, picking just a win in the finale. Yet, the Los Angeles Angels have a 44-57 record heading into this game, leaving them seated 13th in the American League standings.

The Mariners should be able to take something out of this series. They are arguably the favorites, but they have failed to live up to expectations.
