Fenerbahce vs Zalgiris Prediction: H2H Meetings Rarely End with the Total Over

Both teams performed well at the start of the week, although neither was expected to. The Lithuanians seem more in need of a win, but that is unlikely to happen. However, they won't probably let the Turks to do whatever they want.

Fener's only positive home outcome came in January, when they beat Efes and Alba in successive matches. The Istanbulians didn't rest on their laurels, however, and last Wednesday they won in Belgrade, scoring 96 points (17 from three) against the Star.

At home, Jasikevicius' men are averaging just under 80 points per game, while conceding slightly less. Will they be able to do the same against Zalgiris?

The Lithuanians finally got a victory on Wednesday after four consecutive defeats. Virtus gave them a good chance and they took it. But it happened in Kaunas, and Zalgiris' previous away game left a bad taste in the mouths of their fans, as Maccabi tore Trinchieri's side apart 95-78.

Zalgiris is averaging 79 points on the road, while scoring just as many. A 95 from Maccabi is something out of the ordinary for the Lithuanians. Bayern Munich, who are very efficient on at home, scored just 77 points, and no team except Israel, who Zalgiris faced at home this season, has ever scored 85.5 points.

Fener has played the Lithuanians seven times in Istanbul since the 18/19 season. On six of those occasions, they failed to reach 85.5.

It's hard to remember the last time Fener won more than two quarters at home. The only bright spot was against Efes, when Jasikevicius' men won the same two quarters without losing a single one. And even Alba managed to win two ten-minute quarters in Istanbul.

Fener only scored at home against teams that concede a lot against every opponent - Alba, Bayern and so on. Even Efes couldn't score 86. Zalgiris has a better defense than Efes.
