Spain vs Bahamas Prediction: Choosing Bets on the Hosts

Spain's offense struggled in Saturday's game against Finland. It continued for three quarters, and Willy Hernangomez did all the work. The Barça center shot 12 shots, made 15 free throws, and scored 28 points in 20+ minutes of playing time. Willy literally pulled Spain into the finals on his shoulders. That's my point: Deandre Ayton will play against Hernangomez. He's a very tall guy who is great on offense. On defense, however, Ayton is known throughout the NBA as a slacker. Hernangomez won't notice those 211 centimeters, just like Balcerowski didn't see them the other day when he scored 22 for the Bahamas.

In the three previous games, the islanders demonstrated a strong scoring ability from the paint and its surroundings, with a high percentage of 57 to 80. However, their vulnerability was exposed when they faced the Poles, losing by a narrow margin of two points, 18-21. The introduction of a skilled center against Demarco's men nullified their two-point advantage, forcing them to resort to long-range shooting.

We think they'll face something similar tonight. They shot well, and the Spaniards lost to the Finns in three-pointers. They'll probably lose to the Bahamas, too, but not in two-pointers.

Of course, the Bahamian coaching staff saw how the Spanish center handled the Finns. Of course, Demarco wants nothing like that to happen this time. But we don't think he has any methods against Willy Hernangomez and his team. The islanders' centers are individually weak on defense, and all those European tricks are not for the American basketball school.
