The Denmark national team has been a regular presence at the World Cup, qualifying for the last two editions and five of the last seven. They also performed well at the previous two European Championships, reaching the semifinals once and the round of 16 in the other. Ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers, the Red and Whites showed solid form in the UEFA Nations League A, advancing from their group before falling to Portugal in the playoffs with a 5:3 aggregate defeat. The Danish legend, Christian Eriksen, was not called for the World Cup Qualifiers as coach Brian Riemer excluded him from the squad because he is still without a club. The 33-year-old midfielder isn't officially retired from the NT, and we might see him back in the squad in the next rounds of the WC Qualifiers. Eriksen is the Danish all-time leader in appearances (144) and the third-best goalscorer with 46 goals, only behind Poul Nielsen and Jon Dahl Tomasson.
On the other hand, Scotland are searching for their first World Cup appearance since 1998, when they finished the journey in the group stage. In the Euro, they managed to qualify for the past two tournaments, but also finished their campaign in the group phase. Before the WC Qualifiers, the Scots failed to keep themselves in the UEFA Nations League A, finishing third in Group 1, and then lost to Greece in the Playout (3:1 aggregate). Before the start of the Qualifiers, Scotland's Ryan Christie spoke about their chances. He said they are desperate to be in North America next Summer. The midfielder said that securing the World Cup would be something to be proud of when it comes to his career achievements. Therefore, I predict more than two goals to be recorded since I expect both teams to extend their last scoring abilities.

Italy vs Estonia
Italy came late to the World Cup 2026 Qualification party, as they were involved in the UEFA Nations League knockout matches back in March. Gennaro Gattuso’s men began the qualifying campaign with the trip to Norway, which did not end well - the four-time World Cup winners were badly beaten by Norway 3-0 and are in severe danger of missing out on the direct qualification route to the tournament that will take place next summer. In the second group match, however, Italy did redeem themselves with a comfortable 2-0 win over Moldova. In the Squadra Azzurra team camp, no major injuries are reported for this fixture. Only Moise Kean is out with a thigh injury and will miss the qualifiers, but he is not listed as a major absentee given his status. Meanwhile, Estonia’s journey to the World Cup 2026 final edition has not been the most encouraging - Jurgen Henn’s men have only picked up three points from the possible 12 in the first four matches. After suffering a 2-1 defeat against Israel on the opening matchday, the Estonians claimed their first win in Round 2 by defeating Moldova 3-2. Unfortunately, two more losses followed, as they suffered yet another defeat to Israel (3-1) and a few days later, on a rainy evening in Tallinn, were punished by the unstoppable Erling Haaland and his Norway side (lost 1-0). Kevor Palumets and Markus Soomets - who were both sent off in the games against Israel and Moldova - are no longer suspended and will be able to feature. Meanwhile, considering that more than one goal were recorded in four of their last five games at halftime, I expect more than one goal to be recorded.

Ukraine vs France
Ukraine plays regularly at the European championships, they failed to qualify for the World Cup since 2006. Sergiy Rebrov's team will have a hard job to reach the tournament that will be played next year in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, as France seems too good for all teams in the qualification group. However, Ukraine are a strong favorite for the second position and a place in the playoffs. Ukraine played well in the last 12 months as they lost only two of the previous eight games, including friendlies. Both defeats came in 2025, but in the most recent outing, Ukraine won 2-1 against New Zealand. Rebrov's team probably deserved to beat the opponent with a more significant margin in that game. Ukraine have some problems before the game against France. Real Madrid's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will miss the national team's games in September due to injury. Anatoliy Trubin will likely start in the upcoming game, while Dmytro Riznyk and Georgiy Bushchan will be reserves.
Meanwhile, France are one of the strongest teams in the World. They reached two finals in the last two World Cups, while last year, France lost in the semifinal of the EURO. It would be a huge shock if Didier Deschamps' team doesn't finish at the top of the qualification group. France played well in the last 12 months, losing only two of the last nine matches. In the previous game, they won 2-0 against Germany in the game for the third spot in the Nations League. France also have some injury problems. Rayan Cherki has a serious quadriceps injury, and in his absence, the head coach, Didier Deschamps, decided to call Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike. Although they are not playing in the same position, the head coach said he wants to have as many attacking options as possible. Deschamps also said that he plans to use Ekitike in September's matches. So, I expect scoring above two goals in this matchup since I expect both teams to perform.
