Martin Adams vs Jarred Cole: A Match That Will Pique Audience’s Interest

Martin Adams – “The Wolfie”

Adams did not qualify for the 2019 World Championship, which would be his first absence from the event since his debut in 1994. It was the end of a streak of 25 appearances in a row. He did, however, win the Italian Open, his first ranking competition in almost three years.

Adams was defeated 3-2 in the first round of the 2020 World Championship by Scott Waites. Adams lost 5-1 to Robert Thornton in the 2022 World Seniors Darts Championship final at the Circus Tavern. He will compete in his 27th World Championship in the Lakeside 2022 World Championship, where he will face Jarred Cole in the first round.

Jarred Cole – “King of the Castle”

Cole began his professional darts career by competing in British Darts Organisation and Junior Darts Corporation competitions. Cole won three matches on the Junior Darts Corporation UK Tour in 2017. Cole was also chosen to compete in the 2017 Finder Darts Masters Youth tournament for the BDO, which he won by defeating Nathan Girvan 2-0 in the final. As of February 21st 2019, this is Cole's first TV championship.

This year, Cole competed in both the PDC Development Tour and the PDC Pro Tour, winning his first PDC title on the PDC Development Tour. Cole had also received a one-year scholarship from the PDPA and JDC to play on the Pro Tour, but because it expired at the end of 2018, he was forced to attend Q-School at the beginning of 2019.

Cole attended PDC Q-School but did not receive a two-year tour card. Cole has now begun competing on the PDC Challenge Tour.

Expert Betting Tips

While both players are quite experienced, the odds suggest that Martin Adams, the senior among the two, will make it to the next round of the World Darts Championship 2022.
