Entropiq vs Bad News Eagles: It's not that simple

The PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is getting closer. But before the main tournament in the first half of 2022, the teams will have to play RMR tournaments to determine who from each region is worthy to play in the majors. Group B of RMR Europe kicks off on April 21. 16 teams from CIS and Europe will fight for eight slots in the upcoming major. Three teams will qualify for the Legends stage, and five more will qualify for the Challenger stage. CS fans will just have to enjoy the games of the region's strongest teams.

On April 21, Entropiq and Bad News Eagles will play their opening match in the group stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR. We will find out which team is stronger and will get the first points soon.

Entropiq: It's going to be tough

Entropiq only finished 9th-12th in this past ESL Pro League Season 15. They finished second in the group stages, winning four of their five matches, but in the playoffs, the Russian side lost their first leg to Astralis. Entropiq is coming into the RMR Tournament with four defeats in a row and clearly not in the best mood. In the first leg of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: Europe RMR, they will face Bad News Eagles - not an easy match. Especially in the bo1 format. The teams will most likely choose between Nuke and Ancient. All other maps should be banned. Ancient is the strongest map in both teams in terms of win rate. Entropiq has a 20% less win rate. Entropiq looks to be the favorite on both maps, but I'm sure it won't be an easy matchup. The Europeans will be able to put up a good fight.

Bad News Eagles: Good form

Bad News Eagles is a former BLINK squad that changed organization. The team almost made it to the top 20 of the HLTV ranking, but then slipped a bit and is now ranked 41st. Nevertheless, the team has been performing well in recent matches. The boys have won six of their last seven matches and lost only to SKADE in overtime. Their most recent tournament was the TWR Eastern Europe Masters Spring 2022, where they won first place and qualified for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022. It's worth noting the head-to-head encounters in which Bad News Eagles regularly gave Entropiq problems. The European side has won three of the five games they have played. Four of the five encounters ended in very tight fights with 29+ rounds. In bo1, it's hard to say for sure on a map, especially given the month-long break for Bad News Eagles in games, but Ancient or Nuke look the most likely. The squad could struggle on those, but Entropiq looks the favorite on either one.

Expert Betting Tips

Entropiq is the favorite for the encounter, but there is little belief that they will defeat their opponent. Nevertheless, if Entropiq wants to go to the majors, they must pass such opponents. Bookmakers offer 2.10 on the Russian side's victory with a handicap (-2.5), which looks like a good option.
