Like G2, the Spirit got lucky and played the first series of the LAN tournament against a team that had visa problems. The match against HEROIC was close for two maps, but the Dragons never lost a single map. It's hard to say what the Spirit results would have been against stronger opponents, but in theory, all three series went very smoothly. The Russian-speaking team did not have the same effect that was created after a few incidents with Natus Vincere and spoilt the overall impression.

The bookmakers think the Dragons are the favorites, and there are good reasons for this. It's not even about how easy the tournament is for them: the Spirit are in better form than Natus Vincere, as shown by their performance in the Shanghai majors. Natus Vincere was named the best team of the year because of how they played all season, but they did really poorly at the end of it.
