Day four of the ESL One Stockholm 2022 playoffs will take place on Friday, May 20. The first players to appear on the Swedish stage on that day will be beastcoast and BetBoom Team.

ESL One Stockholm 2022 is a LAN-tournament in the eSports discipline Dota 2, featuring top teams from Eastern and Western Europe, South-East Asia, and South and North America. A total of 14 teams are fighting for a prize pool of $500,000,000 and 3,530 DPC points. The tournament will take place from May 12 to 22, 2022.

Beastcoast: The Peruvians are in over their heads

It was an unexpected result for the beastcoast team. Not many expected them to reach the Swedish scene, especially considering the opponent they faced in the first round of the losers. But Team Spirit don't play well, this major will be a lesson for them, and the Peruvians will have another match, so also on the stage, but their game is not particularly impressive, especially against the performance of Daxak and Co.

Many attributed the decline of beastcoast in the first DPC league to the absence of the major, but the decline has not gone away, and during the second regional league, the Peruvians have miraculously qualified for this major, which is not going to be a good one for them so far. The beastcoast team has continued to play in the same lineup since 2019, a change not even provoked by poor play at TI10, although the Beasts were the best team in the region at this tournament, getting at least into the playoff stage. Looking at all the teams in South America, it's hard to imagine who, apart from Thunder Awaken, can match the beastcoast when they are motivated and not trying to experiment with draft picks.

BetBoom Team: One step away from the top 6

BB Team surprised by beating Team Liquid (2-1) in the losers, and now also Daxak gets the unstable and comfortable Peruvians instead of Spirit. The CIS team has had a day of rest and preparation for the Peruvians, and BetBoom Team will be able to show their best side.

BetBoom Team had a tough match against Thunder Awaken. On the whole, Daxak and Co should have lost this duel without a chance - 0:2, but by some miracle, they managed to cumulate on the second.

The two-game days of the group stage saw Daxak and Co play their opponents exclusively in draws, showing steady play if they were given a pic of what they wanted. But by splitting points, the lads wouldn't get far, so it was important to win, and after the draws BOOM Esports, beastcoast, and Tundra Esports went for clean wins over Evil Geniuses and T1. The team lost to the Europeans from OG.

The CIS squad finished the group stage in Group A in third place, allowing Daxak and Co to qualify for the playoffs in the top flight, where their opponents were the Peruvians from Thunder Awaken. Thunder Awaken is not the strongest opponent the Russian team could have faced at this stage of the majors, so BB Team could have made it further, but on a play, the Peruvians ran them over on all maps. But beastcoast can't boast the same execution in the game as Thunder Awaken, so BB Team has a posh chance of making the top 6.
