Xtreme Gaming vs Aurora Prediction: the Asians Might leave the Tournament

The Chinese team, led by the legendary Ame, started the second group stage of DreamLeague Season 22 with two games against Eastern European teams. They perform quite well, as we saw in the first group stage.  But after beating Team Spirit in the first game of the second group stage, the Chinese team had a series of failures, first with BB and then with OG. The team can forget about the playoffs if they lose today against the main underdog.

In early December, Ame announced his return to competitive Dota 2. He immediately joined Dy, No.5. The biggest addition to the roster was the move of Xm, Xxs, and XinQ, who, along with teammates Lou and Yftx, exceeded expectations by joining Azure Ray. But during their brief time together, the owners of Azure Ray were cooking up something else on the side, as they also own Xtreme Gaming. While disbanding Azure Ray's championship team right after their glorious performance at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 may not seem ideal, the main goal seems to be to surround Ame with the best talent available.

Aurora

In DreamLeague Season 22, the Asian team is playing with a substitute. Instead of Armel, Lorenof from Team Tickles pulls the team to the next level. The replacement is temporary. But there are different rumors around Aurora. If the Asians perform poorly in the DreamLeague, the roster replacements might not be that temporary. Aurora came to Dota 2 via Southeast Asia and, in the process, snagged the region's best roster for 2023, Talon Esports. Aurora signed the entire Talon roster except for Mikoto, who joined Bleed Esports. In his place, 23savage, Jabz, Q, and Oli were joined by Armel from Team Secret. They were the highest-scoring team in the Asian region in 2023 and the fourth by points in the world, but things did not go well in the new season. Their first appearance in 2024 qualified them for the DreamLeague Season 22. The Aurora players struggled but won, almost losing in the final to Team Darleng (3:2). But that final was the first sign of failure, which happened in the ESL One Birmingham 2024 qualifiers. They lost first to Neon Esports (1-2) and then to Execration (1-2). The Asians were directly invited to the BetBoom Dacha, but their tonus raised many questions. But the exit to the next DreamLeague group stage is almost decided, though some points are still to be gained.
