MAD Lions started this split with a solid win against Team Vitality. The second game day also continued with MAD Lions victory, and only this time Misfits Gaming fell from them. The third game day ended with an upsetting loss against Rogue, thus going 2-1 at the end of the first week. On the first day of the second week, MAD Lions defeated Fnatic, 3-1. On the final day of the second week, everything went wrong. Excel beat MAD Lions, thus sending them a 3-2 overall score. At the beginning of week three, MAD Lions confidently defeated G2 Esports, 4-2, but at the end of the week, they lost to Misfits Gaming, missing their chances for first place again. Week 4 began with a resounding victory against Team BDS. At this point, at the end of the fourth week, MAD Lions are in contention for second place with two other teams, so a win against Astralis is significant. Having beaten Astralis, MAD Lions have secured second place. The fifth game week was also joyful with victories. Team Vitality and SK Gaming could not cope with the guys. Thus MAD Lions moved into first place, holding a winning streak of four games. Today MAD Lions will meet Fnatic, who are not performing well enough.

Originally MAD Lions in League of Legends did not exist. The story begins with the Splyce organization. Splyce is an American eSports organization with a European League of Legends team. OverActive Media acquired the organization in November 2018. They were previously known as Follow eSports. In November 2019, after the 2019 World Cup quarterfinals, the team was renamed MAD Lions.

Splyce was initially announced as Follow eSports on October 29, 2015, as a new brand of Team Dignitas EU with the original lineup of Wunderwear, Sencux, Kobbe, and Nisbeth. The team inherited the Dignitas slot for the 2016 EU LCS spring season. In December, the group also renamed itself Splyce, changing the logo.

Splyce has been ranked all the time, not just in the LCS. At Worlds, Splyce maxed out at the 5-8th place. When the organization was renamed MAD Lions, the dominance in the LEC continued, as well as failures on the world stage. MAD Lions maxed out in 3rd-4th place at MSI but still maxed out in Worlds at the 5-8th lines.

Mad Lions replaced two players for the new season, leaving Armut, Elyoya, and Kaiser in the lineup.

Reeker is a German midlaner who has spent his entire career traveling around the German leagues.

UNF0RGIVEN is a Swedish botlaner who has played in various major European leagues.

In the spring season, MAD Lions did not perform too well. The organization finished in 7th place with a score of 7-10, one step away from the playoffs. Before the summer split, the organization only changed the midaner.

The guys got off to a perfect start in the split. On the first game day, Fnatic confidently defeated Rogue. The second game day was less successful. Excel took the winning points from the guys without much trouble, and on the third game day, Fnatic beat SK Gaming without any problem. That week, the guys will meet MAD Lions and Team BDS. Week 2 began with a resounding defeat against the MAD Lions. However, on the final day of week two, the guys turned the game around, defeating Team BDS in a very tight encounter, 3-2. In week three, the boys beat Astralis, which gave them a chance to break into first place. At the end of the week, Fnatic won over G2 Esports, sticking in first place. At the start of week four, the guys played horribly against Misfits Gaming, dropping to second place, 5-3. At the end of the week, Fnatic faced Team Vitality, moving even lower, 5-4. Week 5 also didn't turn out well for Fnatic. After losing to Rogue and Excel, the guys fell to sixth place, with a losing streak of four games in a row. Today Fnatic will meet MAD Lions, which will be pretty challenging to beat.

Fnatic sometimes styled fnatic and abbreviated FNC, is a professional gaming organization with registered offices in the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Netherlands. Fnatic is considered a European team. Sam Matthews founded it. Fnatic was one of the first teams to sign with League of Legends in 2011. They won the 2011 World Championship, becoming the foremost League of Legends world champions. In 2013, Fnatic made its way to the 2013 EU LCS spring season through qualification. That's where they won over Gambit Esports 3-2 in the finals, defeated LemonDogs 3-1 in the summer, and won consecutive LCS championships. That led to qualification for the 2013 World Championships, where they ended 4th after losing to the Royal Club in the semifinals. In the spring of 2021, Fnatic was 5th after losing to FC Schalke 04 Esports. In the summer of 2021, the team made several changes to the roster. With these changes, Fnatic took 2nd place and qualified for the group stage of Worlds 2021. After a 0-3 week, Fnatic managed their only win over Royal Never Give Up in week 2, finishing 13-16th at the event, their worst result at the Worlds. Despite the positive results from LEC 2021 Summer, the poor performance at Worlds 2021 and the atmosphere resulted from a top team change.

The spring split for the revamped Fnatic was very good. After finishing in second place, 13-5, they made the playoffs. The playoffs themselves were not the most successful for Fnatic. After beating G2 Esports 3-1, the guys set themselves up for first place, but after losing first to Rogue 3-2 and then to G2 Esports 3-0, Fnatic finished in third place. Before the summer split, the organization only replaced the midlaner.
