First, they failed to beat Patronato (2:2) at home, and then they failed to beat Platense (1:1) away. The team kept the top spot, but could lose it if they lose the match against Racing.
Racing
While Newell's Old Boys has stagnated of late, Racing has improved. The team came into the upcoming game with three games in a row without defeat. First, Racing beat Aldosivi 5:0 on home soil, then drew 1:1 away against Sarmiento Junin, before beating Independiente 1:0 at home. If they beat Old Boys, they could clinch the top spot in the standings. The only thing is that Racing hasn't won a single away game so far this season (a draw and two defeats).
Expert Betting Tips
Newells have long been unable to beat Rising and now seems the best moment to break this unfortunate streak. The young coach Fernando Gago's side has not yet gained the confidence to perform consistently both at home and away. Therefore, the next away game will not be a good one for the guests.
